Maxxis DHF and dhr2

Sadly my preferred local bike shop is going out of business.  Selling all his inventory and bailing to go help animals or something like that.   Go buy some of his discounted stuff.  Check him out at https://www.crankysutah.com/

Anyway, I did go by there the other day to grab some rubber.  My DHF super soft had been on its last legs for long enough.  The aggressor in the rear had a tear in it.  The sale was the last straw. It was time.

The DHF in 27.5 x 2.5 super soft exo+ is a great tire.  Grip for days… Lay that sucker down in the corner and feel it grip and claw its way around the turn.  Yeah it’s heavy.  But I don’t ride a Yeti SB6 because it’s light.  I don’t ride mud much at all.  In Utah, the clay we have is not a nice thing to ride in when it’s muddy, you will damage the trails and it’s sticky shit to get off your tires.  But, late summer we do have lots of moon dust, hard pack, and loose rocky trails.  The DHF DHR2 set does the truck nicely.   I would not consider the pair to be especially fast rolling, but meh, it’s fine.  The grip though.  It’s so good.

If you can find a pair on sale do it. I’m very happy.  And I get to go ride again tomorrow.

These are the ones…
