Yeah, I’m cheap. But i also like quality. At first thought, this would seem to be two contradictory characteristics. I do not think that is the case. Furthermore, I think that the concept of used high quality bargain consumerism can lead one down a path of learning and discovery that is quite fulfilling. So, for the open of my new blog, (this is just a place I will write when I feel like writing, nothing more, nothing less) I would like to explore a little bit about why these two things are not at odds, and how this path leads to learning and personal growth.
I hate paying for new things. But i have lots of hobbies. Lots of toys. I have bikes (6 of em right now), cars (5 of them right now), stereos (wife says, how come there are stereos all over the house), cameras (SLR, lenses,) all kinds of stuff. Sort of the typical American consumer. but… i have never bought a new car. I usually make money on my cars. I have not bought a new bike since right after high schoolDoes this mean that my stuff is cheap? No. It does mean that i like a bargain. I really think that unless you are made of money, for lots and lots of things, you are better off buying things used.
So as i continue my path of exploration towards enlightenment I’ll share some tips to save a few bucks, and some insight into projects I pursue
